Ceramic Paint Coatings
A long term paint protection product that goes beyond a typical sealant. Hand applied, built to act like an additional clear coat layer, with 1-year, 2-year or 5-year limited warranties.
Chapter 01
A sealant sits on the paint, a coating goes further
Ceramic coatings are a long term paint protection product that go beyond typical paint sealants. A sealant is a thin layer that wears away and gets redone. A coating is applied by hand and is often described as an additional clear coat layer on top of the factory one.
That extra layer dramatically reduces the defects that show up on a daily driven car: paint swirls, acid rain, bird dropping etching, bug splatter, sun damage and more. It also works as a self cleaning shield, repelling everyday dirt, grime and road film so they have a harder time sticking to the paint.

Prep is most of the job, then the coating goes on by hand
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so proper prep comes first. That prep is paint correction: compounding and polishing the clear coat until the finish is as clean as it can get, because a coating laid over swirls keeps the swirls. The two services are planned together at the shop.
Then the coating is applied by hand, panel by panel, in the private bay at 458 Danbury Road in New Milford, off public street traffic. A coating needs time to cure after it goes on, and how the car is treated in that first stretch matters.
Chapter 03
Warranty terms, and keeping a coating working
Coatings are available with 1-year, 2-year or 5-year limited warranties. Which one fits depends on the car, how it is driven and stored, and what you want from it, and that gets worked out at the free in-person consultation. There are no packages, so the work follows the car.
Maintenance is part of the deal. Proper maintenance is required for the best results and longevity, which in practice means washing the car with care and keeping up with it, not treating the coating as permanent armor.
To start, call (203) 948-2194 and leave a voicemail. The shop is loud, so incoming calls are hard to hear, and every message is returned. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, serving Litchfield & Fairfield County.

Before the coating
The finish a coating is applied over is the finish you keep. Read how paint correction removes swirls, minor scratches, etching and water spots first, usually over 10 to 20 hours, so the coating has clean paint to protect.
