One owner, one car, a bay that kept growing
Brian Severino opened Performance Plus Detailing to work with owners directly. The shop is how that plan grew into a room.

Performance Plus Detailing was founded in 2006 and opened its doors in a small 500 square foot garage. Brian Severino had been detailing for years before that, and decided it was time to get out on his own. A garage that size is a one-owner, one-car operation, and that is the way the shop still works today.
By 2013 the business had moved to its third and current location, a 3,000 square foot facility at 458 Danbury Road, Unit C-12, New Milford, CT. Six times the floor, and a desirable amount of comfortable work space around each car.

The bigger floor let Performance Plus outfit the shop with the equipment needed to use the best cleaning techniques on every vehicle. That is how the shop runs one car at a time through a job, from the first look to the hand-back.
Commercial grade vacuums
Several of them in the shop, for carpet, seats and the corners under them.
Steam cleaners
Heat does the lifting on interior surfaces that a wipe-down leaves behind.
Steam extractors
Draw dirt out of upholstery and carpet rather than pushing it around.
Hot water pressure washers
For the heavy rinsing that comes before any hand touches the paint.
That equipment lets the shop service vehicles with a specialized, high end care unlike the others. Performance Plus is not a high volume car cleaning service. It has grown into one on one owner to client reconditioning and proper vehicle maintenance, which is why every client starts with a free in-person consultation and why the shop does not sell detail packages. The facility sits in a private setting, which gives clients peace of mind and a secure feeling that their vehicle is safe and in good hands, with no public street traffic past the door. The shop is fully licensed and insured, and enthusiast owned and operated.
The same owner-to-client approach carries into auction management. If the paint needs work first, paint correction is part of the same conversation.
